Municipal and regional elections in Denmark 21 November 2017

Municipal and regional elections will take place in
Denmark on 21 November 2017.

Citizens having the right to vote at these elections, may cast a vote at the Danish Embassy in Kampala, Uganda, or at the Swedish Embassy in Kigali, Rwanda or at the following Consulates located as follows: Lubumbashi in DRC, Bujumbura in Burundi and Antananarivo in Madagascar. The voting period will start on Monday 11 September and end on Friday 27 of October, which will ensure that the votes will be received at the relevant municipality in time.

Please check the different Embassies and Consulates opening hours below and please remember your identity card/passport.

To be eligible for voting you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a permanent registered address in a Danish municipality/region
  • Have either a Danish citizenship, or a citizenship in an EU member state, Iceland or Norway, in which case you must have had a continuously registered residence in Denmark for the last three years counted from the date of voting.
