Does the Embassy of Denmark offer internships to Ugandan students?

Unfortunately, the Embassy has no internship programmes for Ugandans.

How do I apply for a visa and a resident permit to Denmark?

Applications for visas, residence and work permits are handled by the Danish Visa Application Centre in Kampala. Please read more here.

Does the Embassy offer project grants? 

The activities supported by Danida in Uganda have already been identified in collaboration with the Government of Uganda and other development partners. Unsolicited written requests for grants, support and financial assistance, will therefore not receive a reply from the Embassy.

What development programmes does Denmark offer to Uganda?

Danish priorities for the next five years are outlined in the Country Programme for Uganda 2018-2022. It has two focus areas: Uganda Programme for Sustainable and Inclusive Development of the Economy (UPSIDE) - and Uganda Programme for Governance, Rights, Accountability and Democracy (UPGRADE). The focus is on social, economic and political inclusion for all Ugandans, but in particular women and youth, as well as refugees and the communities hosting them. You can read more here.

How can a Ugandan trade with Denmark, or get a trade partner in Denmark?

Denmark supports Danish companies to get partners in Uganda through the Danida Trade Council services. This is a chargeable service for Danish companies. More information on the Trade Council and how it works can be found here. Also, Uganda has an Embassy in Denmark that can help business persons from Uganda interested to trade with Denmark.
